Shane Sali was appointed Chairperson by vote of the Committee after the resignation of Simon Quattrocchi. Mr Sali was previously the Deputy Chair of Shepparton Show Me.
Kristina Marko, of La Trobe University, was appointed Treasurer following the resignation of Chris Reisner. Andrew Pogue, of Kevin Hicks Real Estate, was appointed to the position of Deputy Chair.
Both Mr Quattrocchi and Mr Reisner remain as Shepparton Show Me committee members and resigned from the roles due to the need for increased focus on their businesses. The other Shepparton Show Me Committee members are John Montagner, Helen Sofra, Stephen Schneider, Olivia Smith, Geraldine Christou, Cr Les Oroszvary, Cr Dinny Adem, Anthony Nicolaci, Fiona Le Gassick and Mat Innes-Irons.
The Committee would like to acknowledge the efforts of outgoing office bearers Simon Quattrocchi and Chris Reisner who have both played an integral role in the accomplishments of Shepparton Show Me of recent times.
Incoming Committee Chairperson Shane Sali said “I’m extremely proud to be Chair of such a valuable group to this region. I’m looking forward to the year not only with the support of the committee but also the newly elected Deputy Chair Andrew Pogue and Treasurer Kristina Marko.”
“Shepparton Show Me have given financial support to a number of local and major community events as well as major promotions like Great Things Happen Here which has seen international exposure,” said Mr Sali.
“I’m excited for the future of Shepparton Show Me and privileged to be a part of such a committee.”
“Simon has been an integral part of Shepparton Show Me and we have been fortunate to have him lead us for the past two years. He has done a fantastic job and I’m glad to see him still involved as an active committee member,” he said.
“Chris took on the challenging role as treasurer last year and has done a power of work to keep budgets up to date for monthly meetings. He, like Simon and I, are passionate about seeing Shepparton continue to gain exposure on a regional, national and even international stage.”
